Korean War Veteran Receives Keys to Donated Vehicle
On April 18, Big Sky Collision Network presented a Korean War Veteran and his wife with the gift of reliable transportation. They are on a fixed income, and their vehicle is on its last leg with over 286,000 miles.
The vehicle was provided through the National Auto Body Council’s Recycled Rides™ program, in which auto body repairers, insurance companies and other industry organizations refurbish and donate recycled vehicles to families in need. We are so grateful to State Farm Insurance for their generosity in donating the vehicle for this project, as well as MSUB Foudation, GOS Performance, Destroked, ATS, Montana Tire Distributors, Denny Menholt, and the American Legion.
Ron Ohlin, and his wife, Beverly were nominated for the gift by the MSUB Foundation. They came highly recommended by Post Commander of the American Legion, Post 111 in Custer, where Ohlin formerly served as Post Commander. Ohlin has also served on the Board of Directors of Yellowstone Rural Electric Association, and both Ron and Beverly have remained active in serving the community.
More than 20 body shop owners and managers from across the country were in attendance for the event, as well as a handful of Members of Mr. Ohlin’s American Legion group. Representatives from State Farm Insurance, MSUB Foundation, and of course our entire team joined in on the celebration.
At Big Sky Collision Network, we are always looking for ways to support our community. Please email our Community Outreach Director at firstname.lastname@example.org with any suggestions or opportunities.
