Insurance and Auto Body Repairs
Take the Hassle Out of Collision Repair
After a wreck, you have a lot on your mind. Not the least of which is how you’re going to deal with the repairs being done to your vehicle. As Big Sky Collision Center strives to be the best auto body repair shop in Billings, we are taking the hassle out of your repairs.
Here are a few things you need to know about getting your vehicle restored to factory safety specifications.
You Have the Right to Choose
Before we get into anything else, we want to again dispel the myth that your insurance company can tell you where to take your vehicle.
Insurance companies can recommend or suggest auto body repair shops, these are their preferred shops. The companies have negotiated reduced labor rates, smaller parts markups, and the like in exchange for the recommendation.
That is all is though, a recommendation! You get to choose whichever auto body repair shop that you want to use.
Let Us Handle the Insurance Company
Dealing with insurance claims can be a pain. You have to go through an adjuster, you have to justify the claim, they may end up saying the repairs will cost one price, when they actually cost something different. What a nightmare!
What if we told you that you don’t have to deal with any of that? Instead, you file the claim, and then turn it all over to us. We will talk with the insurance company, we will justify the repairs, and we will collect payment from them directly. As the middleman, you don’t have to do a thing except initiate the claim.
Just Pay the Deductible
If you were the at-fault party in the accident, then you have one more step before you can retrieve your vehicle. Nearly all insurance policies have a deductible. That’s the amount you are responsible for. If your deductible is $500, it doesn’t matter if the claim is for $50,000; you only pay up to the deductible (that’s per instance, so every repair means you have to pay another deductible).
The rest of the payment comes from insurance.
