Give Your Car Some Love This Year
Showing Your Affection this Valentine’s Day
Valentine ’s Day is just a week away. You probably have big plans for that special person in your life (or maybe you’re bemoaning Singles Awareness Day). But have you stopped to think about all that your vehicle does for you? It works hard for you every day without complaining. Skidding to a stop, smashing onto the horn, and the occasional fist pounding on the dash; it accepts you for who you are (we won’t even get into singing in the car!).
This year, show your car some love. Treat it extra special so that it can keep carting you around for years to come. We have put together a list of 8 things you can do so that your vehicle keeps on running and accepting you for who you are.
How to Love Your Vehicle
A Day at the Spa – Who doesn’t love a spa day? Wouldn’t your vehicle love it if you brought it into Big Sky Collision Center for a full auto detailing? Get rid of that nasty road grime that’s been on there for months, clean the Cheetos out of the seat cushions, and polish up the dashboard. You don’t have to lift a finger either…
Upgrade the Floor Mats – Are you still rocking the stock floor mats? They’re probably looking a little worse for the wear. There are a few companies out there that offer custom mats that will protect your vehicle, and they look great too!
Make it Smell Nice – Men have cologne, women get perfume, cars get air fresheners! After the day at the spa make that vehicle smell great for weeks to come with a high quality air freshener to keep away the musty stale smells.
Resolve to Drive Nice – We all get heavy on the gas pedal at times. And that often leads to braking hard, and cornering tight. Resolve to slow down a bit, drive nicer, and go easier on your rig. You’ll end up being safer too, so bonus all around.
Cut Back on the Junk Food – You know what I’m talking about. It’s that quick stop for a large French fries and a coke that you can’t wait to dive into (even though the fries are going to scorch your tongue). You pop one in your mouth, realize it’s molten, and it pops back out and retreats under the seat for the next 6 months. Your vehicle deserves better.
Tune it Up – When is the last time you got a tune-up? Checking fluids, replacing spark plugs, swapping air filters, and the like seem like little things, but they go a long way. Your vehicle will be much happier if you get it in there for a tune up regularly.
Straighten Out those Dings – Door dings, hail dents, little marks where your 7 year old smacked into the side of the vehicle with a shopping cart… these things happen! Show your rig some love and get them fixed.
Go for a Drive – Our vehicles are often used to commute and run errands. They’re utility vehicles that provide a service. Break free from that, and go on some road trips (when the weather warms a bit). See some of the sights of Montana from your vehicle and have some fun on the road.
