Concerns about Auto Body Repair
Auto Body Repair Shouldn’t Be Scary
Being involved in a collision isn’t just scary and traumatic; it’s also costly and inconvenient. Even with the assistance you get from your insurance service provider, you will still have to deal with the repair process itself. Before you even get to that, you have to make a big decision first: which auto repair shop to bring your car to (we hope you choose Big Sky Collision Center). Finally, there’s the feeling of uncertainty and apprehension that follows after the repair is completed.
For most car owners, there are usually 3 aspects of auto repair they are most concerned with. That’s safety, appearance, and performance. Let’s discuss each one further.
Safety: Will my car be safe to drive?
Because the frame is the car’s foundation, the extent and severity of its damage should be a major concern for car owners. A car with a compromised frame is unsafe to drive and should not be tolerated for the sake of savings and convenience. Keep in mind that scrimping on repair cost to save money can easily result in the opposite. It is always better to spend a little more to ensure your safety, than save a little and regret it later due to consequences which could have been avoided.
It’s comforting to know that with better technology, frame damage repair can now be done more carefully and systematically. Although quality shouldn’t always necessarily be equated with cost, in this instance, it’s kind of logical and acceptable because modern equipment and precision workmanship do not come cheap. It’s also reasonable to assume that a repair shop that invests in high quality equipment and skilled technicians will be able to do repair work better than an auto shop that doesn’t. Because safety should always be a priority, it makes perfect sense that you should not hesitate to spend for it.
Here at Big Sky Collision Center, we have invested in the best technology out there. We don’t cut corners that could affect your safety.
Appearance: Will my car look as nice as it did?
Your car paint makes your car look good. And nothing can make your car look better than paint that looks shiny, feels smooth all over, and has a uniform color all around. Accordingly, you would not want your car to be repainted with anything else that will not match your original car paint, right? Unless you’re having it fully repainted, of course.
The good news is that we can do what is known as color matching. Basically, this allows the shop to get an exact match on your original paint color. This means that after it’s applied, you shouldn’t be able to tell at all that there was repainting done.
Performance: Will my car drive as well as before
Aside from safety and appearance, another common concern following a collision is the car’s driveability or how it will operate after repair has been completed. There’s usually an issue with suspension and alignment and how everything should work as well as it did before the collision happened. A high quality repair shop should be able to do restoration work that meets industry standards and provide a car owner the assurance that after leaving the shop, his/her vehicle will be good to go and safe to drive once again.
