7 Easy Ways to Improve Your Vehicle
No Need for a Full Upgrade; Just Improve!
Most of us love our vehicles. But as new technology improves, and our rigs wear out, we end up looking longingly at buying something new. If you love your vehicle, and you don’t want to spend the cash on upgrading to something new, here are a few ways that you can soup up your car (does anyone say “soup up” anymore?) so it looks and feels like a new one.
The vehicle mods may take a little time, they may take some skill, and they may take a trip to the best auto body repair shop in Billings (for instances like a new paint job). But in the end, you will love your new ride.
Upgrade the Lights
Whether you have a car or a truck, lighting is easily overlooked until you need it. On our Montana highways there are plenty of critters that wander across the road at the most inopportune time. Swap your headlights with some HID or Xenon lights and get the cool blue look. If you have a truck or an SUV some off-roading lights can look sweet too.
Swap the Seats
Newer cars come with some pretty nice seats. But after 10 years the foam starts to break down, the upholstery may rip, they may smell funny after one too many lattes are spilled on them. Fortunately there are plenty of aftermarket seats designed to fit your vehicle. Browse around, find what you can afford, and swap them out.
Give it a Paint Job
Paint chips, peels, cracks, fades, oxidizes, and eventually just doesn’t look that great anymore. Washing and waxing will help prevent this, but once it starts to go it’s hard to stop it. It could be time to swing on in to Big Sky Collision Center and have us professionally paint your rig. The best part: you can choose basically any color you can think of! Pink with green racing stripes anyone?
Install a New Stereo
Anymore it’s not really the stereo that matters, you can control all that music from your phone. What you want, though, is better speakers, maybe an amp, and the ability to link it all to a device. You can upgrade your speakers for under $100; or you can upgrade your entire system for many thousands.
Buy Better Floor Mats
Floor mats are one of the most underappreciated aspects of a vehicle. They’re stepped on, have dirt ground in, spilled on, and only remembered when cleaning. They do wonders to protect your actual floor though; so toss those factory stock mats, and go with something like Weather Tech. You won’t regret it.
Get New Wheels
Your steel wheels with dingy gray hubcaps just aren’t cutting it anymore. Perhaps it’s time for a nice set of spinners? Or maybe at least some low-pro chrome wheels? Or even just a modest wheel that doesn’t look like it came off your 1997 Honda Civic.
Tint the Windows
One of the nicest things about tinted windows is that nobody can see you pick your nose at a stop light. Wait, we mean it’s the fact that the reduced sunlight keeps your vehicle cooler during the summer. Window tinting can transform the entire look of your vehicle, and make it feel like something new. Plus, the nose picking perk.
